The hunger to be authentic is universal. It’s part of being human. Inside all of us is a drive to live in our true self before others, with ourselves, and, when we are ready, in relationship with God. At the time of the Early Church it was described as a ‘personal thriving.’ Christ called it ‘letting your light shine.’
And yet there are so many pressures in our life that assault us. Daily stress, historic trauma, peer pressure, sheer exhaustion, addictions and other coping mechanisms—these things (and many more) deplete our capacity to live well.
In this retreat we will be exploring how to let loose more of that holy authenticity that brings life to us and to those around us, regardless of our circumstances.
