A dynamic relationship is one that continues to press into new things\, to explore different perspectives\, and to face new challenges. It can be bumpy at times\, but even the unexpected moments can bring growth. \nWould this be a good description of your relationship with God? Whether you are new to faith or have been pursuing a journey with Christ for a number of years\, we expect that God will want to press in with new forms of relationship so that you can deepen your relationship with Him and continue to become more like Christ. The adventure never ends. \nHowever sometimes we have seasons where our relationship with God seems stuck in a rut\, or is becoming a little too impersonal. Perhaps we feel like we are going through the motions and it feels empty? This can lead us into becoming unhelpfully self-sufficient in our spiritual life. We can lose focus on the truth that Christ is all and is in all (Col 3:11). These are times where the idea of deepening our relationship with God feels remote and unattainable. Getting started again is a challenge that needs some help. \nIn this workshop Pastor Peter Holmes and Pastor Susan Williams will map out 15+ ideas drawn from their own journeying with Christ\, for renewing your relationship with God. We often try avoiding it\, numbing ourselves to it\, or fighting against it. We blame others for it or just live in denial about it. Conflict can occur in our relationships with others\, ourself\, and it can even occur in our relationship with God. Most of us have no idea of the range of conflicts we are experiencing\, until we pause and allow ourselves to see it. \nConflict can bring about division\, and drive us to avoid truth and try to blame others. This leads some to fear\, while others use it to feel more powerful. However\, when engaged in a helpful way\, conflict can lead to healthier ways of living\, and can precipitate positive change. It can result in greater openness and authenticity. It can bring about more wholeness and resolution if we navigate it with wisdom. \nIn this workshop\, we will be exploring how we can respond well to conflict. We will consider the many types of conflict\, map out practical steps to bring resolution\, and provide tools to walk healthily through those times when it feels unavoidable. DESCRIPTION:This Friday evening\, September 18th\, we are hosting our Community Evening in person at our new location (2419 E. Cameron Bridge Road). We will be gathering at 6:30pm. There will be no shared food\, due to Covid-19\, however we encourage you to bring your dinner and we will eat together on the lawn.  We will then migrate to our large barn and worship together and hear from Peter. \nWe are missing being together in person\, so we look forward to welcoming you all.  We will be encouraging social distancing\, which is why this evening will be held outside. Please bring a chair with you\, if you are able. And the barn is not heated so it would be good to bring a jacket with you as well. \nOur special area of focus is to create safe relationships and offer resources for people struggling with seasons of brokenness and especially emotional difficulties – either their own or someone close to them. Our community is active in reaching out to support those in the Valley who are in the midst of a time of need\, whether historic or current.

DESCRIPTION:If you are in the Bozeman area this Friday\, August 28th we would like to invite you (and your family) to visit our land and offices. We are having a celebration event\, to give space for you to take a walk through the trees and pasture and explore the land. It’s 10 acres\, so there is plenty of space.  We will also be giving tours of the offices and outbuildings\, small groups at a time. \nWe are excited that this is our first open in-person event since the start of the pandemic. It will be in the open air\, we will be following safety guidelines\, respecting social distancing\, and encouraging the use of masks when social distancing isn’t possible (especially in the house). \nPlease bring your own chair\, and food and drink if you wish. If you want to have a picnic then there is plenty of space for that. (But because of the current guidelines\, please don’t share food with others outside your family.) \nWe will have a dedication moment at about 6:45pm and Peter will share a little about the place that Jesus called home. You are welcome to come early\, any time from 4:30pm onwards\, or to stay on afterwards. The address is 2419 East Cameron Bridge Road\, Bozeman. \nWe don’t yet have our internet set up. So if you are not able to come\, we can’t share this particular event with you. But some good news if you aren’t in the Gallatin Valley\, or if there are other reasons you can’t make it. We are getting some additional equipment and setting up so that our in-person events are accessible and inclusive\, for any who are not physically present. And we will offer a virtual tour for you just as soon as we can. \nSo we hope to see you on Friday – or if not\, watch out for our virtual event\, coming soon!

What do you make of this season we are in? The Royal College of Psychiatrists in UK is predicting ‘a tsunami of mental illness’ as a result of the pandemic. Unemployment has risen to unimaginable levels. Travel has been severely restricted\, and online is for many of us our most frequent form of social connection. Meeting up with a friend has begun to feel risky. Shaking hands and giving a friend a hug feels like we are doing something wrong. \nIn the midst of many differing views\, one thing is certain. Our world\, our lives and our relationships will not return to the way they were before the pandemic. We have a lot to learn about the implications of all that has happened. Can we turn this moment into an opportunity to grow into more than we were and to begin to help others do the same? \nWhether we are living in a low or high risk part of the world\, we are now all having to face up to some radical changes. In this evening workshop we would like to help inform and equip you to live well and keep well in this new season. \nIn our first virtual workshop Pastors Peter Holmes and Susan Williams will map out the choices we are being confronted with. DESCRIPTION:Daring to Become Authentic: Tools to Grow More of the Person You Are Created to Be\nWe are working on rescheduling our Women’s Weekend Away for sometime during the Fall 2020. We will post more information as we have it.  \nThe hunger to be authentic is universal. It’s part of being human. Inside all of us is a drive to live in our true self before others\, with ourselves\, and\, when we are ready\, in relationship with God. At the time of the Early Church it was described as a ‘personal thriving.’ Christ called it ‘letting your light shine.’ \nAnd yet there are so many pressures in our life that assault us. Daily stress\, historic trauma\, peer pressure\, sheer exhaustion\, addictions and other coping mechanisms—these things (and many more) deplete our capacity to live well. \nIn this retreat we will be exploring how to let loose more of that holy authenticity that brings life to us and to those around us\, regardless of our circumstances. \nBy the end of the workshop you will: \n\nBe able to recognize more of the person you are created to be\nHave several personally-relevant tools to help you grow more of you\nHave new insight into how Scripture equips us to take up maturity in Christ\nUnderstand what threatens your capacity to be authentic and how to overcome it\nHave some new skills for living authentically in ‘tricky’ relationships\nHave heard numerous testimonies of healing and/or growth in relationship with the Lord\nGrow friendships and find companionship for your own journeying

SUMMARY:Workshop: Living at ease in the Spiritual World
DESCRIPTION:So often we forget about the reality of the spiritual world that we live in. We operate in the material world and assume that if we can fix the brokenness there\, all will be well. However\, very often that is not the case. The brokenness and damage of our fallen world impacts us at a deep spiritual level. It is in the depths of our human spirit that we find healing\, restoration\, and redemption. \nWhen we begin operating within\, and living more aware of the spiritual world\, we are able to tap into the damage that lives within us so we can let go of it for good. We begin being able to move in spiritual gifting and anointing\, as the person God created us to be. We can more accurately hear the voice of God\, trusting His perspective. When we have an openness to the spiritual world we are able to read Scripture and understand theology in new ways. We can righteously love and honor ourselves\, others\, and God. \nDuring this next workshop\, Pastors Peter Holmes & Susan Williams will unpack this idea that our fallen world has two aspects to it – the material and the spiritual. They will help us learn to be more fully present in the spiritual world and give us practical tools to make this all a reality. Join us on Friday\, March 6th from 6:30-9pm and Saturday\, March 7th from 9am-1pm as we learn and grow together.
